Whatever, and although I don't like his misguided politics, I don't doubt his commitment to the City and to his ward and, as such will have the good grace to sincerely congratulate him and to wish him the best. Even if he did shamelessly insult my friend DavieG without having the decency to apologise. I know first hand that it will mean so much to him and am quite sure he will work tirelessly in the job even though I'd personally be happy to see his party permanently disbanded for some of the underhand things they've allowed or been responsible for and for the ongoing consequences that will still be felt by so many even when some of us are dead.
